The Roberts family has long been an extension of my family at heart since I’ve moved to Kansas City ten years ago. Even Austin’s twin Nathan’s wedding was my first wedding ever. Austin has been a committed, honest, and loyal friend to myself and so many others. He is a deep well of wisdom and thought. I’ve had endless conversations with Austin, covering every little bunny-trail in conversation you could fathom. Some of my favorite times here in Kansas City were spent with this guy. It was honor and privilege to see this sucker marry-up to a gem like Angela.
Angela is a swedish, african born, kinda-sorta raised in Texas and on a ship traveling the world with her dad. But that’s just where she came from… she’s an incredible woman who was quickly adopted into the Roberts family who has followed Austin’s lead from day one, but is feisty enough to keep him in line, I have no doubt that these two will grow old together.
I went down to Texas early for this one and spent a good amount of time with the families, once again trying to get more than just a wedding. I have to say this is my favorite way of telling stories, though I probably rubbed that in pretty thick on my recent post of Jesse & Madalyn’s wedding. At first I was nervous that the heat was going to get in the way of people enjoying themeselves… but who am I kidding…these people are awesome.
