Everything about this trip was awesome. I know us Americans use the word ‘awesome’ a bit too much, but I was genuinely in awe over the Pacific Northwest’s beauty and was so honored to get hired by this #ShouldBeModelsForALiving couple. Yes, I just hashtagged in a blog-post. Maybe there’s something in the water off at hipster grand central and it rubbed off on me. So what.
When I first landed in Seattle, Ben & Rachelle scouted the city with me for locations and took some images, but I was determined to get us up into some mountains nearby. There’s something about the mountain peaks of the Northwest that just feel too dreamy to pass up. So we decided to take the hike up Rattlesnake Ledge, which revealed to me just how out of shape I am. Needless to say it was worth every calorie burned. The next evening we went to Molly Moon’s to refuel on calories with their insanely good ice cream, strolled around downtown and snagged some shots of them with Seattle in the backdrop. Little did I know it was the night everyone was raving about the Blue Moon and Kerry Park was packed with tourists, photographers, and dreamers. Luckily there were a few sweet people willing to move, if they didn’t I may have told people Ben was terminal and this might be their last photoshoot, but hey, I didn’t have to. So it’s allllll good. 😉
I absolutely loved getting to know Ben and Rachelle during my stay. I learned to be more grateful of my job, even as challenging as it has been the last couple years, I get to work with people where I feel like I’ve known them for years and could be best-friends with them.
